Hospitality Diploma
This is a two year course where you will be working towards three Level 2 NVQ Diplomas in:
• Professional Cookery
• Food and Beverage Service
• Housekeeping
• plus a variety of related certificates
The Hospitality Diploma will enable you to find immediate employment in posts such as commis chef, assistant waiter, room attendant etc. Alternatively, you may prefer to continue gaining further qualifications at Lakefield.
Professional Cookery NVQ Diploma
Professional cookery is one of the most rewarding professions and one which is in high demand. You need to be able to work in a team as well as being aware of the need to follow Health and Food Safety guidelines. This course is designed to give you a broad knowledge and understanding of cooking techniques. You will have plenty of opportunities to gain evidence for your NVQ Diploma portfolio by the training provided in Lakefield.
Food and Beverage Service NVQ Diploma
This course aims to provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to serve food and drink in a variety of situations, such as silver service, banquet service, etc.
Housekeeping NVQ Diploma
The Housekeeping Department is essential to the work of any hotel or hospital. A successful housekeeper needs to be hard-working, honest and tactful, highly motivated and take pride in their work. This course will help you develop all these attributes in addition to all the professional skills required.
Entry Requirements
• School/ College leavers with GCSEs and/or A levels
• A successful interview
• Minimum three days' work experience at Lakefield
