What do we do each day on the Taster Week?

Well it’s a bit like this….

Sunday

5.00 pm Arrival

5.30 pm Introductory Talk for Parents on Lakefield, our NVQ Training Programme and the Taster Week

6.00 pm High Tea for Taster Week participants (with Lakefield trainees)

7.45 pm Induction

8.15 pm Uniforms will be given out in the Laundry

9.00 pm Get together

9.30 pm Supper

9.45 pm  Bed!

Monday

8.00am  Breakfast

8.30am  Departments (please see morning rota)

10.15 am Break

10.30 - 11.15am Session in the Study (see weekly timetable)

11.30 -12.30  Back to the departments

12.30 pm Lunch

1.15 pm Get changed and come to the study for Visit  briefing    or

                Go to Training Kitchen for the cookery session

2.00 pm Leave for visit if planned for today

(Some of the places we have visited include: the Four Seasons Hotel Canary Wharf, the Royal Garden Hotel Kensington, Director’s Table Contract Catering in the City, the Bakery at ‘Paul’, Pizza Express, the Lanesborough, the Royal Lancaster Hotel, The Hoxton Apprentice etc.)

5.15pm  Arrive back from visit

5.40 pm Dinner

7.00pm Waitressing skills (in Boardroom and Managers Dining Rooms) or

               Patisserie Session

9.00pm Get together

9.30pm Supper

9.45pm Bed!
