Bread and Butter Pudding Video Recipe


1-minute  delicious Bread and Butter Pudding! Simple, fast, easy and tasty!

8 Slices of bread (from a small fruit loaf or any other bread)

50g Butter

275ml Milk

60ml Double cream

50g Caster sugar

Grated zest ½ small lemon and orange zest

3 eggs

Freshly grated nutmeg

Sultanas and raisins

Serves 8

1. Pre-heat the oven to gas mark 4, 350°F (180°C).

2. Butter the bread and cut each slice of buttered bread in half – leaving the crusts on.

3. Now arrange one layer of buttered bread over the base of the baking dish, with the slices standing – not flat.

4. Next, in a glass measuring jug, measure out the milk and add the double cream.

5. Stir in the caster sugar and lemon zest, then whisk the eggs, first on their own in a small basin and then into the milk mixture and add freshly grated nutmeg.

6. Pour the whole milk mixture over the bread,add sultanas and raisins. Bake (in a ban-marie) in the oven for 30-40 minutes. Serve warm.

7. Brush with honey, icing sugar or golden syrup.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
