Celebrating Success at the Prize Giving Ceremony
Last week, 9th of July Prize Giving Ceremony was held at Lakefield to celebrate student’s success over the year. Frankie Strinati, School Liaison Officer welcome our guest with a very poignant speech and gave an overview of this year successes and achievements. One of our patrons, Professor David Foskett MBE, Professor and Head of the London School of Hospitality and Tourism was also invited as a guest speaker, he talked about his boundless passion for this industry, The Art of Hospitality, which inspired a lot of people to give importance and value to their work.
The awards were presented by Lisa Clapham, Director of Lakefield and Professor David Foskett. The ceremony was followed by champagne, canapes and a BBQ provided by Ian Parsons, Business Director for CCS (Continental Chef Supplies).
Family and friends were present at the successful event including parents who come from abroad to show support and to witness the end of year successes. Two of our patrons also came to show their support, Giovanni Fontebasso, Vice president and Governor of the Craft Guild of Chefs and Omero Gallucci, development Chef and also from the Craft Guild of Chefs.
Lisa Clapham, Lakefield’s Director said “It was a year full of events, happy and sad, inspiring and hard, successes and failures. Despite all, at the end of the day it was a big and happy year for all of us. Well done everyone!”
The ceremony marks the achievement of our students and celebrates their success in the professional life that will start now. It has been possible thanks to the support of our patrons and sponsors.
