You will learn about Culinary garnishing and presentation skills, nutrition and food hygiene, focusing on cooking tasty recipes showing cooking methods

During the cookery classes, you and your friends will have the opportunity to take home what you cook when you finish.

You will get a cookery book full of innovative, scrumptius recipes that you can cook with your family at home!

Junior chef academy course
Who can join
- For girls in year 9, 10, 11 & 12 interested in a career in Food and Culinary Arts
- For girls interested in Table settings, teamwork, 3 course meal, Healthy, hygiene, food safety
Dates
- 12/10/19: First Intake
- 25/01/20: Second Intake
- 18/04/20: Third Intake
Assessment
- On the final Saturday, you will cook a meal for invited guests (including your parents)
- Receive a book of recipes from the course and a certificate.
Equipment
- This price covers all the costs including the ingredients you will use.
- You will be required to bring a box or basket to take your food home with you
- You will be ask to wear flat, comfortable non-slip shoes and trousers.
- You will be given a chef’s jacket and apron to wear for the class.
