A stepping stone to go to university, this Hospitality Course provides the knowledge and skills to set you on the progression route to hospitality service related degrees such as Travel and Tourism, Event Planning or Hospitality Management.

WHO IS THIS HOSPITALITY COURSE FOR

These qualifications are aimed at learners interested in hospitality and catering. It is both for new entrants and also for those already working in hospitality and catering. 

Especially convenient for the ones who didn’t get their A-Level or don’t want an academy route, this Hospitality Course could be considered as a Gap Year or an alternative route to university.

5 GCSE (A-C grade) however, each application will be considered on individual merit. Completion of at least three days work experience at Lakefield.

Morning 8:45am-12:20pm Practical Training Cookery

Afternoon: 1:00-5:30 Theory Classes

Mandatory Units(11 credits)

  • Customer Care (5 Credits)
  • Teamwork & Health & Safety (6 credits)

Plus Optional Units up to 26 Credit

  • Professional Cookery (Up to 15 credits)
  • Food and Beverage Service (Up to 13 credits)
  • Accommodation Service (Up to 16 credits)
  • Event planning (Up to 11 credits)
  • Tourism (Up to 7 credits)

Progression from the NVQ Level 2 course to NVQ Level 3 Hospitality Supervision and Leadership.
